" أماكن - مسار "

على مدار أكثر من عشرين عاماً، عَمل الفنانان آيرين أنسطاس ورينيه غابري على مجموعة مركّبة ومُحكمة من أعمال الأفلام والفيديو. إنّ طبيعة ممارستهما الفنيّة عادة ما تعني أن لا يتم عرض الأفلام إلا ضمن سياقات محدّدة بعد إنتاجها، وبالغالب لا يتم عرضها مرة أخرى

هنا، ولأول مرة في أي مكان، نظّم الفنانان ضمن مشروع “يُعاد” ما يسميانه “برنامج الأفلام الموصولة”. فالمحرك الرئيسي لبرنامج الأفلام الموصولة هو أن غرض التواصل في الأفلام المعروضة يهدف إلى زعزعة ذاتيتها. هذا بالإضافة إلى التعديلات الإختيارية للبرنامج، من خلال إضافة فيديوهات مصنوعة حديثاُ، وعناصر حية وأجزاء من أفلام غير منتهية، أو لقطات لم تستخدم أبداً، يَعرض الفنانان تعاملاً مختلفاً وإمكانية تحوّل للفيديو والأعمال الفنية بشكل عام، وفي هذه الحالة، أعمالهما

في " أماكن - مسار " ، يحاول الفنانان تحويل برنامج الفيلم إلى أداة وصل، وذلك من خلال تجميع أكثر من عشرين فيلماً وفيديو كل يوم، بحيث تخلق من خلال تأثيراتها المتبادلة، الإمكانية لتكوين عمل جديد

عن "يعاد٢"
انطلاقاً من رؤية المركز التي تهدف إلى تعميق دور الثقافة والفنون في فلسطين، يعمل المركز على مدار الأشهر القادمة على توسيع المعرفة بالفيديو آرت كوسيط فني، وتعريف المهتمين بالمجال الثقافي بإنتاجات فنانين فلسطينيين متمرسين من خلال عرض أعمالهم ومشاريعهم الفيديو آرتية في فضاء المركز، بحيث تعرض مجموعة أعمال لفنان/ة واحد/ة متكاملة لمدة أسبوعين بشكل مكرر. كما سنحاول أن يرافق كل عرض لقاء مع الفنان/ة لنقاش الأعمال وممارستهم الفنية بشكل عام.

Places-of-Passage

For more than 20 years the artists Ayreen Anastas and Rene Gabri have quietly created a complex and textured body of film and video works. The situated nature of their practice often means that even when films have been made, they have only been seen in specific contexts and often never screened again.

Here, for the first time anywhere, the artists have organized what they call a hyphenated-film-program. One key operation of a hyphenated-film-program is that the contiguity of the films screened are intended to unsettle their autonomy. Moreover, through potential alterations of the program, the insertion of newly made videos, live elements and the addition of fragments from films never finished, or footage never used, the artists propose another treatment and transmission of film and video work in general, and in this case, their own.

In Places-of-Passage, the artists attempt to turn the film program into a conjunctive machine which, by weaving together more than 20 films and fragments each day, creates, through the reverberations between them, the possibility for a new work to emerge.


Ayreen Anastas Biographical Note
I am looking for a text that is easily translatable. My name is this and I do such and such. I think or I don’t think this and that. I am today this one I am tomorrow that. What is the use of writing if it were without echo without meaning without delirium. Write write and fill the page with words. A life, a path, a biography, a with, a thought, a with, a feeling, a with, a shadow, a light, a fog, an image, a with, a thread, a mountain, a sea, a word, a with, a forgetfulness, a glimpse, a meaning, a with, a breath, a now, a with them, a together, a with you.
Who are you? Who are we? Who are they?

Rene Gabri Biographical Note
Rene Gabri is the name of a character in an incomplete and fragmentary story called ‘the World’. In the sections thus far written- which have by now been translated into Armenian, Arabic, Farsi, Greek, English, Spanish, Italian, German, French, Turkish, Korean, Dutch, Croatian, Swedish, Basque, Finnish, Norwegian and Georgian - the character is primarily attempting to change the story. First by changing the conditions of his own existence, namely. who he is, where he is supposed to live, what he is expected to do, how he is asked to think and love. Second, by engaging with the other characters of the story to revolt against the authors of ‘the world’.


About "Loop2"
Based on the Center's vision to deepen the role of culture and arts in Palestine, the Center will start its program over the coming months to expand the knowledge of video art as a technical medium. To acquaint those interested in the cultural field with the productions of experienced Palestinian artists by presenting their works and projects. Featuring artist’s videos for two weeks on a loop. Also trying to host artist talks to discuss their productions and artistic practices.
